At New Attitudes Dance Studios we consider dance attire to be another way for students to express their own styles, personality and creativity. With all the new and evolving styles of attire offered for dance today, we believe that students should feel most comfortable in class wearing what makes them happy. Anything made for dancing is allowed.
Although we are fairly lenient on dance attire, we do have some requirements so teachers can see the lines of the body, including posture, arms, legs and feet. Dancers will get the most out of their classes when these are followed:
-
-
- All students wear clothing made for dance or active wear so they are not restricted by regular clothing. Street clothes are not to be worn in class.
- T-shirts and sweatshirts should be no longer than the hips.
- Dance shoes are always a must for class. As for the type, color, and style…the sky’s the limit for all classes except for Tap. We leave this choice to each individual student.
- All tap students should wear black tap shoes from Second Skin Shop. No other tap shoes are allowed.
- All students wear clothing made for dance or active wear so they are not restricted by regular clothing. Street clothes are not to be worn in class.
